Movement Informed Speech (MIS) is a method of promoting speech through movement. It helps children to overcome speech problems and speech difficulties.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”d90aa5e4-ac88-4105-bb5a-1b1d1e163152″ global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n During his time as a speech therapist in a special needs day school, Dietrich von Bonin experienced many children with speech and language challenges. Thanks to his earlier training as an actor, he had been familiar with the value of gesture and movement for many years. Many further training courses inspired him along the way and he began to pass on the knowledge and practice he had gained to colleagues under the name MIS. <\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”d90aa5e4-ac88-4105-bb5a-1b1d1e163152″ global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n MIS is a bundle of interventions that can be integrated into almost all forms of speech therapy.
